9. Live Line Maintenance.

10. Wind Turbine Generators and its Regulation

9. Method of instruction

Laboratory measurements, Computer simulation tutorials in computer laboratory.

10. Assessment

During the study period:

·         All measurements are compulsory for all students.

·         Preparation for the laboratory measurements from the available preparation material (if any).

·         Participation on the measurement according to the provided schedule. Only those can attend who has passed the entry test, what can be conducted as a written quiz.

·         A measurement record should be taken and submitted within seven calendar days. The measurement record could be individual or teamwork, depending on the exact occasion (one record should be taken at each independent workstation).

The students get a mark after each measurements (representing the preliminary preparation the activity during the measurement and the measurement record). At the end of the semester, signatures can be given only if all measurement records are acceptable by the laboratory instructors.

The students are taking part an exam measurement, which is organised on week 14 of the semester. Every student must repeat one part of a specific measurement from the semester and prepare a draft measurement record, without any external help. The exam measurement would take 60 minutes in time, allocated to the last week’s slot of the measurement, the schedule and allocation would be provided by the laboratory coordinator on the spot.

The final mark of the subject would be composed from the averages of the entry quizzes (30%), the averages of the measurement records (20%) and the mark of the exam measurement (50%).

During the exam period: nothing.

11. Recaps

Late submission of the measurement record can be approved by the end of the supplementary week, if supplementary fee has been paid.

The missed measurements (due to missing or failing of entry test) can be substituted during the semester or the supplementary week according to the following rules:

·         Two measurements can be substituted after scheduling it with the laboratory instructor.

·         If there is still a scheduled measuring group during the rest of the semester which has not taken the specified measurement, and the number of participated students allows to join, the measurement can be substituted only in that occasion.

·         If – after discussing with the lab instructor – it is not an option, the measurement can be substituted at the end of the semester, during the supplementary week.

·         In case of the missed measurements are substituted later, then the exam measurement is scheduled, the affected measurement cannot be allocated to the student on the exam measurement.

It is not possible to have any extra measurement for correcting lower sub-marks.

12. Consultations

In case of it is necessary, after contacting with the laboratory instructor.
