    7. Objectives, learning outcomes and obtained knowledge Training Project Laboratory introduces the workshops that belong to the specialization and branch (if there is any), which lay the foundation of Project Laboratory and BSc Thesis Project subjects later. During Training Project Laboratory classes, students get acquainted with the operation of the workshop, and they learn special professional knowledge necessary to cultivate the topics of the workshop. After having accomplished Training Project Laboratory, students will be able to carry out Project Laboratory tasks they have chosen in the given professional workshop without any further preparation.
    8. Synopsis

    During the first week of the study period (after the registration week), students enroll one of the professional workshops announced by the department. Before choosing the workshop, it is recommended to visit the department during the preceding exam period. The supervision of a workshop is held by the leading supervisor, who may assign other supervisors as well. Until the end of the 4th week, students need to choose their tasks to be carried out by the end of the study period.

    At the end of the semester, each student shall give an account of the completed project. The account consists of an oral and a written part. The formal requirements and the schedule of the account are determined by the department responsible for the subject.

    Training Project Laboratory can only be performed at the department.

    Students generally work on the assigned task in groups of 2 – 4 while paying special attention to the work and the results to be separated. It is also possible to work independently, but all subtasks of the topic must be clearly specified in the task announcement which part is carried out by which student either it is independent or group work.

    9. Method of instruction 4 (four) hour-long laboratory classes every 2 (two) weeks. One leading supervisor can coordinate the work of maximum 15 students.
    10. Assessment

    In the study period:

    The schedule of mid-term supervision:

    • The leading supervisor continuously supervises keeping up with the schedule, the progress of work and the preparation of the student.
    • At the end of the semester at a given time, the student submits a written report and gives an oral account.

    The method of the oral report is determined by the department responsible for the subject. In some justified cases, there is a repeated occasion for the oral account. The written report that gives an account of the work done shall be submitted by the end of the study period.

    Determining mid-term grades
    Mid-term grade given by the leading supervisor is based on the following factors:

    • professional value of the work;
    • the student’s attitude to work and the completion of work;
    • the result of the account;
    • the documentation of the work.

    Students fail if they

    • did not choose any assignment
    • did not properly accomplish the work assigned for the semester by the end of the delayed completion period;
    • did not complete either the written or the oral part of the account.

    In the examination period:

    No requirements

    11. Recaps A written or oral account can be given by the end of the delayed completion period.
    12. Consultations Training Project Laboratory work is supervised by the leading supervisor of the department, but other supervisors may be provided as well. The leading consultant is a full-time or part-time teacher, researcher, department engineer or Ph.D. candidate of the faculty.
    13. References, textbooks and resources Specialized, related literature necessary to elaborate on the topic is provided by the leading supervisor, or the student is expected to collect and refer to the resources under the supervision of the leading supervisor.
